On the tour days we are departing and arriving  at different times.  Participants will be given a stipend for those days  to buy whatever meals suit you best. There is an abundance of  restaurants in Plakias and the neighboring villages we will visit and there are  lots of places to choose from that can accommodate all your dietary needs.  You guest rooms comes fully equipped with a standard European kithen and you can prepare food if you enjoy cooking. The town also boasts 10 different super markets as well and other snack bars, ice cream parlors, and bakeries. 

You do NOT have to attend all the curated events, it will be included in your package. Kindly let me know 48 hours before if you think you will not be attending  a trip or not. That way I can make arrangements with the tour company.  Randomly not showing up at the predesignated time  with out telling some one is not allowed since we need to know where you will be for your safety. 

Yes, you may create your own unique layaway plan. I will take a credit card and charge card at preauthorized times. Payment must be in full 3 months before the trip April 2nd 2024

I can understand if you really want  to use your home currency. We are using the local  destination currency because we will have international students coming in and it helps to standardize the money aspect. Plus all my  vendors are in that local currency, and the other guest teachers(s).  

The good news is the Euro has been relatively stable this year. You will get 1.08 or 1.10 Dollars to Euro approximately. The daily rate does fluctuate a little here and there so when ever you go to make your payment to me. Paypal makes it very easy to send Euros directly to me.   Thank you for understanding. 

Please do NOT bring your home currency, Plakias has NO money changers. It's best to bring  mix of cash Euros, and  a credit card that offers waived  international transaction fees. I use a free checking  Charles Schwab  banking account that can act like a debit card if you want to access Euro but don't want to carry a stack of cash with you.

I allow partners and children to come on a "case by case" basis, depending on your personal situation, their temperament and if they will support or distract you from the retreat. Please let me know 90  days before the trip if they are attending and if they plan on joining the group dinners  or tours as well. 

USA California ~ I personally love Turkish Air, I book  SFO to Athens on one ticket, then take a small flight on a local Euro carrier such as Aegean Air to Chania, Crete. I will arrange a group van to pick us up and  bring  us  to Plakias on the evening of Wednesday the 3rd.

If you prefer to stop over in another European city look and see which carrier has a hub there, vice versa if you are looking to spend credit card miles or loyalty program miles. USA citizens  will need a visa to travel to Europe in 2025 and 3 months minimum on your passport from the date of your departure. double check all these retirements online by googling the Greece embassy to be sure.
